Well, finally the show took place last week and the crazy Pakistanis who are obsessed with everything Indian were paying 50,000 to 250,000(table of ten)for the tickets.
The show was hosted by Fakr-e-Alam who's event management firm Indus tree were one of the organisers. Two Pakistani artists also performed and one of them was Ali Haider but unfortunately he was virtually booed off and got a totally unwelcoming reception because he was PAKISTANI. The crowd only wanted to see the Indians.
Shame on us and we call ourselves Pakistanis. Why can't we give our own artists the respect they deserve. When the hell are we going to get out of the huge inferior complex we have.

Saleem is the younger brother of JS so it is obvious he is in all of JS's films. The fact is Saleem was not in Javed Shiekh's first film "Mushkil" and also missed out on "Mujhey Jeeney Do".
Saleem is yet another talented actor who some how just could not make big in Lollywood even his first film "Qasam" was a big hit.

Naheem you were right place in the first place and I also listen to the BBC radio programme every Saturday morning. The news about the release date has been confirmed today by a Urdu Daily Newspaper.
Can you please e-mail Rashid that please market the film properly in the UK. A lot of people are waiting for this film in the UK. If not marketed properly then the same fate awaits "Salakhain" as what recently happened to "Larki Punjaban".

What I am trying to say that bollywood is not the whole Indian Film Industry because India produces over 700 films a year. Thats why in terms of Production the Indian film industry is the biggest in the world.
Coming back to our own industry there is no harm in making regional language films but for sure the emphasis should be on Urdu films. Until the mid 1980s the emphasis was on Urdu films because we still had good film makers.
Now the industry has been taken over by uneducated people then what can you expect.

Yas Devil, In India nearly 700-800 films get made every year and of these only about 120 are in Hindi or made by Bollywood. India has 26 different regional languages.

Yas Devil, You have taken my post the wrong way. I am only talking about the lower class people or the people who sit on front rows, who are the main audience for these films and they mostly come from the small towns and cities in the Punjab.
The fact is more Punjabi films get made then Urdu films in Pakistan because for our filmmakers the Punjab Provience is the main market and they now that the hardcore audience will come and fill the cinema halls by watching films like Hamayon Gujar and Sher-e-Lahore. I have also seen these two films.

Even if People from the big cities don't watch Punjabi films but the fact is that the hardcore audience still remains in small towns and cities and they go and see every Punjabi flick.
Another reason believe it or not is that of people do not understand Urdu as well as they do Punjabi. I can give you example of my servant in Pakistan who is a mad fan of Saima and does not miss any of her Punjabi films but does not hardly watch any of her Urdu films because he cannot understand Urdu properly.
There is nothing wrong with Punjabi films but we should totally stop making the Gujjar and Badmash type films.

Well it looks like we can forget about "KAKN" for this year because JS should not be thinking about shooting in Australia in the next few months because its currently winter time in Australia. The best time to shoot will be probably after October.
Can't understand why the hell did he make the announcement of a Eid-ul-Fitr release.

Standard you are totally right. We need the latest technology. Its a shame that after having established the film Industry for over 50 years we are still crying about modern equipment. One has to blame the studio owners who have never upgraded their equipment and the biggest culprits are people like Sajjad Gul and Shehzad Gul, owners of Evernew Studios. For the last number of years Shehzad Gul has been promising the latest equipment every year but nothing has happened.

True, Amjad Bobby does not need any Devdas music Director. Amjad Bobby is a brillant music director in his own right. Why do our producers insist on going to India and using Indian singers.
I feel sorry for Amjad Bobby because if the music of "Imaan" as expected will become superhit, then yet again Amjad Bobby will not get the due credit as everyone will say the music has become a hit because of Indian singers and Indian music arrangers. The same thing happened with "Ghar kab Ayo Gaye", "Tere Pyar Main" and "Yeh Dil Aap ka Huwa".
The problem with people who love bashing Pakistani movies that they have never heard the music of films like "Mushkil", "C.Saab","Ghunghat", "Deewarain", "Qarz","Sangham", "Deewanay Tere Pyar Kay, "Yes Boss", "Kahie Pyar Na Ho Jaye", Mujhey Jeenay Do", "Inteha". Do I need carry on because all the music of these films was recorded in Pakistan and virtually every song of these films become hit.

Feel sorry for the producer who can kiss goodbye to his 5 crores. Iqbal Kashmiri is another Punjabi director who still does not now the difference betweeb Urdu and Punjabi films. He will probably make a decent action flick but to make a sensitive film is beyond him.
A few years ago he directed then the most expensive Pakistani film "Jo Dar Gaya Woh Mar Gaya" which was the Pakistani version of "Consenting Adults". The Indians have also copied this with "Ajnabee". JDGWMG had a great cast, good music, technically and production the film was much better then a normal film and it was a hit at the box office. Just one thing let the film down and that was the direction of Iqbal Kashmiri, he just could not handle the subject properly.
Why on earth does he want make Devdas of all films because everyone is just going to compare it with the Indian version and Iqbal Kashmiri is a useless director. Had Hasan Askari or Syed Noor directed Devdas then fine.
They are numerous other subjects which one can choose but why Devdas. Looks like that the producer is also on the same mental level as Iqbal Kashmiri.
